Happy New Beginnings
The Scriptures teach us that God is the giver of many new things, including new beginnings. Nothing with Him is old or worn out! He states in Rev 21:5, “Behold, I make all things New.”
The Scriptures teach further that when we come to Him by faith in Christ He gives us the new birth! Then He gives us a new nature ... A new heart ... A new life ... A new hope ... And a new task! Finally, at the end of our lives on this earth, He promises to give us a new body in a new home called heaven! WOW!
Paul states in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”
Now God is giving us a new year! This can mean a new start, a clean slate and a new beginning. Our personal calendars are saying to each of us; “I am the new year. I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.”The question I ask is what will we do with this opportunity? May I suggest to you to look forward and not behind, to advance and not retreat, to focus and not lose sight.
Maybe you have not done so well in the old year; you have wandered away from God, now you have been given a second chance to make a new start, a new beginning and this means a new hope for you!
Maybe your dreams were put on hold in 2012, things never went as planned, don’t give up! Be encouraged to hold on to the hope that they will come true during this New Year!
Maybe it’s time for you to turn over a new leaf and to write a new story on a clean page and friends; Jesus is there to help us to write the story well!
Don’t get stuck in your past! Let go of your past hurt, your past failure, your past living, and allow Christ to cleanse you and give you a clean heart and a new beginning. Do you know that Jesus forgives sin, removes guilt, and restores broken hearts? Jesus said … Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,…”
Matthew records; “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, Matt 12:19
My friend let me introduce you to your new beginning, Jesus Christ! “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
New Beginnings really have nothing to do with the calendar but everything to do with Jesus! Jesus says to you and I “Behold, I make all things new.” Rev 21:5
